2012! End of the world!! In this nonsense do you believe?

For those of you who are interested about the end of the world in 2012, the first thing I must say is that the basis that led to the belief that the world would come to an end on 2012 is almost laughable, actually it is laughable. The main reason that led you to believe in it is the Mayan Calendar which is also called Eagles Bowl, which has proven to be a vastly accurate calendar but it does not state that the world will end in 2012, astronomer Philip Plait has stated that the Mayan Calendar only starts over again on 2012.Even if it did end on 2012 it doesn’t matter, because the Mayan civilization didn’t even outlast the 17th century, and qualified astronomers and historians have stated that it does not predict the worlds end.

For those of you who still do not believe. Even though the Mayans possessed a complex Mathematical system and vast knowledge regarding Astronomy, they couldn’t have made prophecies about the future, if they did they could have foreseen that all of their settlements will fall under the Spanish rule by 1697 let alone predict about the end of the world in 2012. The Mayan calendar is a complex mechanism but it does not predict the future it just holds the Mayan beliefs and the aspects of their religion.

There is no basis to believe that the world would end on 2012, it is just a propaganda of a group of people to promote a product, and by that product people were given the impression that the world would come to an end on 2012 because it is said in the Mayan Calendar which is clearly a misinterpretation used to support their argument and to promote their product. The wild fire that raged among the people has now subsided due to the lack of proof that the world will come to an end in 2012. The people have only being victims of their own credulity
