An Easy Way To Make A Fabulous Greeting Card! Yes, You can do it too!!!

I just love making greeting cards! Don't you? Well, actually my leisure time is spent with matching colours and experimenting new paper arts to create cards. One of my friends birthday is getting close so I thought of why not this. I really don't know what this paper art is called but once made I'm pretty sure that you'll start making cards with this style. I'm only gonna tell you how to make the paper art and the rest of the decoration is up to you. Here we go.

Things you need

A sharp pointed paper cutter (I've used my dad's old surgical blade)

A pair of scissors

A ruler

pencils

A hard board or a sheet of some hard surface

Coloured papers of your choice

Colour Blocking Nail Art........

Hiya people! Another beautiful day and it's nice to discover that more and more people are now with IshySays! While wondering what to post for you guys, I found this really amazing nail art and I'm sure you'll like it too. Some of you might have already heard of it but to those who haven't try this. It's fun just like our previous one, Water Marble Nail Art. Well, colour blocking nail art is far more easier than water marble one and it requires no professionalism what so ever. See for yourself, all you have to know is match colours! :P

Things you will need

Scotch tape or an adhesive tape thicker than normal cello tape (Cello tape is okay is you can't find anything else)

Two three colours of nail polish

Howdy people!!! Since we received so much responds to our post on Water Marble Nail Art we thought of extending that to show off some of the beautiful nail arts seen so far. The simplest tip to have a beautiful and equal distribution of nail polish on your nail is to keep your nails clean and smooth. Also, a good quality nail polish is essential.

For beautiful nails.......

If your keen to look after your nails and grow them a bit longer, here are few easy steps you can follow.

1. Remember, good things take time so be patient with your nails. If they are all different in lengths, clip them all to same size using a nail clipper and make sure you don't hurt the flesh underneath the nails or nail edges. Use a nail file to smoothen your nails and use it only in one direction so that your nails don't get weaken and break.
2. You can give your nails a little spa experience. Using very lukewarm water, put both your hands in it for two minutes and gently massage the cuticles and then the fingers. Pat dry your hands and apply a hand cram or a nail cream and again massage smoothly. This will enhance the blood flow to your finger tips.

Howdy all the readers out there. It's been awhile since our last post. I must say time is something hard and very rare to find these days but some how, we've managed to buzz in some interesting topics this season too. We often consider ourselves to be presentable in a manner concerning our looks. Mostly that depends on how well you took care of your inside, your hair and your skin. Out of the three, the second; your hair could be the first and foremost factor that draws attention to you because in my opinion, hair is actually who you are and what you want to be.....

Your hair, an asset or a liability?? This can be a question to may depending on what type of a hair you've got. Thanks to all the good genes of my parents, I and my sister have inherited naturally straight hair. When I say naturally straight, to my great happiness, many consider it's rare kind of a straightness with unique beauty. And that's some asset I can be really happy about. But no pressure to those who have average hair because, having average hair does not matter but how well you make use of it does. Make it an asset or a liability- the choice is in your hands. Typically these are several types of hair you get to see. There's straight hair and then the curly hair. Again we can subdivide these two groups as in extreme straightness to mild and slight. Same goes to the curly hair. These are small nice curls and then there are fuzzy kinds of curls.

Howdy people!!!! Today I'm gonna tell you about how to do a face painting in a safe method. Face painting is a fun accessory you can wear. And not only for a funky party but you can wear a design with elegance if you have the taste and style for a higher occasion too. On all above,make sure you buy the highest quality paints because unlike others, you may get a health issue if you don't. All acrylic paints with non toxic label do not indicate that they can be put on your face. Mind you, our skin is very sensitive so they can get allergic to paint. First of all make sure you are not allergic to paint.

Hullo people, today I thought of presenting you a nail art design you will definitely like. Nails are a part of our beauty that we have to take good care of. Clean nails means good health. Nail Polish on your nails is like make up on your face. It beautifies your nails but once you are done with it make sure you remove them completely from the nails especially around the nail tip. And always remember to use a good quality nail polish remover that gives protection to your nails as well as nutrition. 

We all do nail polishing but this is something fascinating, I'm sure. Water marble nail designing is not hard. All you have to have is the right material and a bit of an artistic twist. Actually anyone can do it if you know how to match colours. The other good thing about water marble nail art is each design is totally new and one of a kind. And there are no limit for patterns you can create.

Can you list the things in your home you think rare and precious????? Well obviously my bed is precious for me because that's where I relax but hmmm.... It's not rare though. What else..... Oh... what about jewelry??? You are getting close. I'm talking about gemstones. Gems are rare because not every country in the world has them and precious because they are unique and beautiful. What are gems? Gems are minerals that have underwent several natural process for a long time finally resulting in a hard or a soft rock formation. These rocks are polished and shaped by cutting in a way that their beauty is well exposed. Here comes the best part. Usually when we get a gemstone we let sunlight or a source of light pass through the stone so that the gemstone will refract the light beam. That's where gemstones become different from other stones. This quality is known as refraction and the ability for refraction is the refractive index. This refractive index varies from gem to gem. Diamonds has the highest of all.

A classic clutch that coordinates with a garment completes an outfit. The flap can be shaped and embellished in a number of ways, making the design possibilities for this purse unlimited. Make a variety of pins to change the look of one basic clutch. Or for an elegant one of a kind look, embellish the flap with punch needle embroidery, creating a plush, raised design on woven fabric.

The lined purse is constructed with a zipped divider. A coat snap provides a simple closure. If desired, a shoulder strap can be attached. Choose a medium weight to heavy weight outer fabric; decorator fabrics have good body and are treated to repel soil. For added support, interface the outer and lining fabrics. Choose a crisp sew-in interfacing for the outer fabric and an all purpose fusible interfacing for the lining.

It is always handy to have a beautiful pouch for special occasions. Twisted cording and decorative bead add a finishing touch to the bag. Medium weight fabrics that drape well such as velvet and velveteen work well. Other suitable fabrics include brocade, satin, and some tapestries. Lightweight fabrics may also be used; to add body and support, underline a lightweight fabric with batiste or fuse a lightweight knit interfacing to the fabric.

Simply Superb Saris.......

Sari is a typical word among the types of  women's clothing you could find in many Asian countries especially like India, Sri Lanka and other South Asian countries. A sari is usually a 6 yard long piece of cloth that could be draped in different styles. A sari symbolizes a woman's status in her culture. 

It is a woman's nature to add beauty to her already beautiful looks and a sari is something that simply multiply her natural beauty. Unlike most dresses, a sari improves her inner beauty making others who see her, respect her, admire her beauty. Sari is a very charming and a unique dress. A sari is worn in such a way that a woman's natural curves and shape are exposed enhancing her feminism. The typical Indian woman, covered from head to presents a picture of modesty. The word Sari is anglicized from 'Sadi', which existed in Prakrit language As Sadia and originated from Sanskrit 'Sati' meaning a strip of clot. Sati, occurs in the 'Mahabharata' and perhaps earlier, but the nature of this garment in those times and how it was worn, is difficult to gauge accurately. It is certain that the art was highly cultivated. There are innumerable references in ancient Indian literature to the draped garment and its style.

Button Jewelry...Creating Fashion... Just the way you want!!! Part 4

Button Jewelry is fast and easy to make. Jewelry findings can be attached to buttons to make earrings, pins, tie tacks and stick pins. Use button pins to adorn garments, embellish purses and belts, and hold scarves in place. Button jewelry can be made inexpensively using extra buttons from sewing projects. Or showcase unusual or antique buttons by turning them into one of a kind jewelry pieces.

Old buttons offer unusual details and craftsmanship; combining one or two with new buttons can make jewelry pieces unique. Look for old buttons at flea markets, antique shops and thrift shops. When designing button jewelry, include buttons that vary in color, or texture using special buttons as focal point. Keep earrings and pins light in weight if you intend to use them on light weight fabrics. Design the button jewelry so the finished piece has a flat base to which you can secure the jewelry findings.

Button jewelry can be assembled using hot glue or jewelry glue. Buttons can be glued together, using larger buttons to form the foundation. Or glue the buttons to a decorative base such as a shell or a decorative belt buckle.

Polymer Clay Jewelry... Creating Fashion... Just the way you want it Part 3

Polymer clay is a modeling compound that is available in a wide range of colours at craft stores and stores specializing in miniatures. Pieces of polymer clay adhere to each other with light pressure, making it easy to design unique jewelry items. It hardens to a smooth, matte finish when oven baked, maintaining its prebaked size. 

Jewelry pieces are designed using three basic forms of clay: the ball, the rod and the sheet. Simple balls of clay can be used for beads or they can be flattened and shaped to form discs for buttons or earrings. Rods of clay are sliced into discs or cut and rolled to form uniform balls. Sheets of clay can be rolled and cut out, cookie style, for buttons, pins or earrings. 

Rods and sheets can also be used to create designs. Marbleized clay is formed by twisting rods together. Patterned designs such as a bull’s eye or pinwheel are formed using rods and sheets. These patterned designs are called canes. Thin slices cut from canes are used to embellish base pieces of clay. Different brands of polymer clay vary in firmness. To make firm clay easier to shape, soften it by cutting it into small pieces, warming them in your hands, and kneading the pieces together. Or mix firm clay with a softer clay until you have consistency that is easy to work with. Firm coloured clay can be mixed with a small amount of soft white clay without sacrificing the brightness of the colour.

It's all about guys. Just like all the women, men too have interests in clothing selections and accessories. Here are some professional ideas I gathered combined with some reviews from the community about fashion clothing, matching and comfy kits. 

It is not that easy to choose a matching t shirt or a shirt for your guy like you do for yourself. First of all go for a matching color. Of course, it's a matter of choice but be careful about your skin color too. It will be nice if you can go for a color that both satisfy your liking and matches with your skin color. Next is the time of the day you intend to wear it. If it is night time, don't hesitate to put your hands on vibrant yet elegant colors like Black, Navy blue, Dark purple, Crimson etc. If it is for an official cause like job interview, stick with the traditional fail proof colors like light blue, grey. If you are looking to portray a more lively image, choose bright, unconventional colors. Bright greens and oranges are relatively popular, as well as pink. Next think whether you like a print or a pattern or just the plain color. Sometimes plain colors can add a bit sexier look for generally good looking guys but no offense you can choose whatever you wish.

Creating Fashion... Just the way you want!!! Part 2

Gloves

Gloves can be fashionable accessories, not simply functional apparel. Whether you choose vivid, colorful gloves or opt for the ever popular basic colors, a few embellishments can add style. Decorative braid trims can be machine stitched in place along the upper edge of the glove. When attaching trims to knit gloves, make sure that embellished gloves retain enough stretch to be pulled on and off easily. For leather gloves, machine stitch the trim in place, using a leather needle or secure it with a glue intended for leather. 

Buttons add a whimsical look to a glove. Choose buttons that will lie flat. Stitch them in place one at a time, without carrying threads between them to prevent catching the threads when putting on the gloves. This also ensures the necessary give between buttons. 

Creating Fashion... Just the way you want!!! Part 1

Fashion is all over us and we can't bear to wear just the same clothing and accessories just like fifty other people or so on the same street. It's all about creating fashion and being unique in what you wear. One of a kind. I'm 100% sure that you will love this because I have done it and gained quite a lot of appreciation. It's fun to engage in the activity and you'll enjoy wearing them too. So here we go.

Sunglasses

Create your own designer frames by embellishing inexpensive sunglasses. Sunglasses can become a fun, flashy accessory or a finishing touch for a special ensemble. Use items such as buttons,  beads, rhinestones, decorative threads and strips of leather. A few items are usually all that is necessary.

When applying embellishments with glue, make sure the base of the item rests flat on the surface of the frame, to ensure good adhesion. Use a jewelry glue intended for plastics and metals working carefully to avoid excess glue on the frames. You may want to work with a tweezers and apply the glue using a toothpick.

Buttons add a simple embellishment to sunglasses. You can also use beads, gems or even paint for designs. for buttons, remove the shanks from the buttons, using a wire cutter and apply the buttons with glue.

Hardware cloth in different gauges

Wire Mesh Earrings

Create contemporary style earrings from a wire mesh called "hardware cloth" available from hardware stores, and strips of fabric or leather. These earrings are simple and inexpensive and can be made match or coordinate with a favourite outfit.

Hardware cloth is available only in silver but may be painted gold. It provides a base for weaving or wrapping narrow strips of lightweight fabric or leather. Decorative threads, wrapped over the fabric or leather provide additional interest and beads can be used as accents.

Tangled With Bangles.....

We all love to accessorize our clothing by simple yet eye catching stuff. Bangles and bracelets have become so revoluionaized that today I thought of presenting some of the articles I found on fabric wrapped bracelets and bangles. Try them at home and I'm pretty sure you'll find them interesting and useful.
It's not hard once you put your mind on it. You can use left over fabric and they are quickly made, using inexpensive bangle bracelets and two narrow strips of fabric. The strips are torn adding texture to the bracelet. You may want to make a set of bracelets, reversing the order in which the strips are wrapped or combining different fabrics.

For this you may need,
plastic or wooden bangle bracelets
fabric scraps of your choice
fabric glue
How to make???
First, tear strips of fabrics into thin and long scraps. Width should be at least 2.5cm. Take the bangle of your choice (bangles come in different sizes) and glue wrong side of one end of the fabric scrap to the inside of the bracelet, positioning fabric at an angle.
Wrap fabric around bracelet, angling fabric and overlapping edges; trim excess fabric and glue end to inside of bracelet.
Simple isn't it? All you have to make sure is that you glue the fabrics tight enough and dry them until fit. You can add two or three layers of fabric and you can use different colours and different materials of fabric. You can use threads instead of fabric or how about cords?

 You can decorate these bangles with stones and sequins and add glamour to them. Or else you can simply apply fabric paint on them for more colours.

Welcome autumn……. But I prefer denims!!!!

Fashion is what we define as our reflection of our social activities. Many of us like to wear clothing that will enhance our personalities. After all, your clothing plays an important role in shaping your personality. Simply, what we wear will be the first impression given to others. So make sure you wear nice and cool. I must say fashion is not all about what you buy new each and everyday but you can make fashion out of what you already have!!!

September is all about shades of yellow, red and brown. Something mild yet mild enough to keep you warm inside from the cold rains is the general picture of our wardrobe in these days. For people whom like to go out a lot, t shirts and jeans are a cool option. Why not a shawl in dark colours and light colour tops and denims?? I just love it.

T shirts are all time favourites. Try colours with smoothness to blend in with the atmosphere and to catch others' eye at the same time. Cotton will be ok in warm countries but why say no for silks and satin? I love accessorizing my clothing with something simple. And yes, of course accessories should make you feel comfortable and fashionable too. Wearing different shades of same bangles  or different types at the same time would go with t shirts and denim jeans, I guess.

Dresses are another option for the ladies if you wanna try. They can be stunningly simple and modern yet relaxed and sophisticated. Try matching them with simple accessories and strappy sandals.

Apart from the garments, make sure to choose your hand bags matched with all you wear and don't forget to buy bags which follow eco-friendly mottos.  

Flip flops are comfortable enough to wear in engaging in casual day today out goings. But if you want to elaborate yourself a bit, don't surpress it girls, go for it!!!
